Call for Abstracts

  • Opening day
  • Submission deadline

Since the 10th of December at 24h00 GMT, the call for oral presentations abstracts is closed, and the notifications of acceptance have been sent on the 13th of December for all abstracts submitted until that date.

Poster presentations are simpler in organization, therefore the call for abstracts for poster presentations will be opened until Friday, the 1st of February 2019.

Abstracts for poster presentations submitted will be evaluated within one week from submission.

Abstracts within any of the topics of the conference are welcome.

Irrespective of the topic, a conference session (or more than one) must be selected from the short list for submission to be accepted.

Communications from enterprises and graduation or Masters students are also accepted.

Communications from developing countries young researchers may receive special support from the IAEA. Applications to this support should be made by sending an e-mail to info@pixe2019.org having as subject the sentence "Support to developing countries researchers". In the application a short justification (less than 200 words) must be presented.

The abstracts’ text block, not counting title, authors, affiliations and references should be less than 2000 characters in length (with spaces), and should be entered (or copied to) the “Content” section of the abstracts submission form. Additionally, one figure may be added to the text by attaching it in jpeg or png format in the “Attachments” section of the abstracts submission form. If a figure is added, a figure caption should be present in the “Content” section.
The overall abstract including title, authors, affiliations, abstracts body text in letter 12pt, figure, figure caption and references should all be contained within one B5 page having 1cm margins all around.
To assure proper editing of your abstract, even if no figure is included, a PDF version of the abstract should be uploaded into the “Attachments” section. If a figure is included, both the figure in (jpeg or png format) and a PDF version of the full abstract (with the figure in its proper size and place) must be uploaded into the “Attachments” section. Once saved the abstract, a PDF of the text components of the submitted contribution is obtainable, which indicates the number of your abstract. This automatic PDF is just a report for you to archive. The final completely formatted abstract will be sent to you by e-mail for your approval prior to final acceptance, and inclusion in the Book of Abstracts.

An example of report abstract is available from the web page menu.

The call for abstracts is closed.
